I use this instead of sugar to prime my beer in the barrels, you can just use it as a direct replacement for sugar. It helps the beer retain it's head better than using sugar and adds a bit more flavour to the beer. The dark malt is for stouts & dark beers, medium for bitters and medium colour beers and the light is for lagers and light ales. It's very moist stuff so dissolves quickly and easily - it can also be messy to store. I keep it in an airtight food container. Well worth using.Written By: Andrew Kennedy (06 December 2006)
