I can say this produces exactly what it says on the tin an excelent Norfolk stile porter. seven out of five stars.

This was my first taste of such a brew and my very first reaction was, if I'm to be honest, uncertain. I left it a couple of days and then tried it again and since then it has really grown on me. It turns out to be a really good beer, dark in colour and the caramel flavours really come through in it. This is one to be enjoyed!

I brewed this one with an extra kg of sugar and made it up to 36 pints, it took about 6weeks to fully mature and what a beer full body and great strength with a wonderfull thick creamy head nice one

Not so good avoid unless you enjoy very dark and strong tasting ale. Lacked body due low alchol content 4% for a real ale of this powerful taste is wrong should be 6% to support the almost viscious bite.

Bit of an acquired taste this one.
Shows lots of subtle changes in its character as the brew matures.
Mine started off quite ashy with hints of liquorice (three to four weeks secondary ferment in a pressure barrel). This becomes fruitier the longer you leave it. In my limited experience I would recommend this if you are feeling adventurous and fancy something unusual, but you might not find it to your taste or at least in a minority. Its a good brew but you'll either love this or never brew one again!

Quite a poor head & condition, colour est. 150+ EBC. Some roast grain, “dark” raisin & some perfumy taste, quite bitter with some smoothness, dry & astringent.

My wife brews the beer and I drink it, she made a great job of this one. Takes a while to clear, maybe we should have used finings but a wonderful full bodied winter brew that you don't need too many of! Recommended
